Alain Pérez, one of the most accomplished and influential Cuban musicians on the contemporary Latin scene, is nominated for the 2026 Grammy Awards in the category of Best Tropical Latin Album for his recent album Bingo.
Bingo is considered one of his most successful projects to date, with a nomination for this year’s Latin Grammys for Best Contemporary Tropical Album. Bingo was recorded in Cuba, the US, and Spain, featuring collaborations with Tito Nieves, Luis Enrique, and Gilberto Santa Rosa, among others. This isn’t the first time the Recording Academy has recognized Alain. In 2021, he won the Latin Grammy for Best Traditional Music Album for Cha Cha Chá: Homenaje a lo tradicional, and was previously nominated in the categories of Best Tropical Traditional Music Album (2015) and Best Salsa Album (2017).
Perez is a world-renowned multi-instrumentalist, singer, composer, arranger, and music producer. With over two decades of experience, Perez has shared the stage with prominent international figures and has established himself as a benchmark for modern Cuban music. He has worked alongside legends such as Maestro Paco de Lucía, Chucho Valdés (Irakere), Isaac Delgado, Estrella Morente, Celia Cruz, and Miguel Poveda, among others.
